Nicole Dougherty, DC
Dr. Nicole Dougherty was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. She graduated from Daytona State College with her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Business Management, then went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she met her friend, Dr. Sandra Buffkin. While at Palmer, she was an active member of the Palmer Sports Council, and volunteered her time at various sporting events in her community.
Dr. Dougherty became interested in being a chiropractor when she was a teenager. While she was in high school, she was very active in ballet and different sports. Unfortunately, she experienced severe headaches almost daily. The only relief that she found was through chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractic helped her not only live an active and pain free lifestyle, but also helped her concentrate and feel better overall. Now, she is dedicated to serving and helping her patients perform at their very best, so they can continue to feel better and do what they love! After graduating from Palmer, she left her home in Florida and headed for the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. After practicing there for two years and enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery, she decided to move back to the beach with her three dogs and her better half.
Dr. Dougherty enjoys caring for athletes and patients of all ages by helping them to improve their quality of life through patient centered care and healthy lifestyle adaptations. When she’s not caring for patients in the office, she enjoys listening to podcasts, reading at the beach, doing CrossFit, and playing with her three dogs.
